Now don't be like that. He really tried, he just wasn't up to AFL standard, and he knew it. He did not have any tickets on himself, he was a nice guy that the Swans threw in as a ruckman (bit of a dearth at the time). I felt sorry for him. He just wasn't good enough, and thats not a nice thing to have play out on a public arena. Doesn't make him a bad person.

Seems like RWOers seem to have a pretty good idea about what a number of former Swans players either did or are doing these days

Does anyone have any ideas about what any of these former Sydney players might be up to?

    Ed Considine
    Michael Werner

played some pretty good footy in the SANFL with Norwood after Sydney. Was involved with SANFL Junor coaching after retiring from Norwood

Seems like former Swans and the media go well in Adelaide ... apart from Lewie, Ryan Fitzgerald (radio with NOVA), and Troy Gray (TV & radio ... and owns a men's salon!), Michael Parsons (before his untimely passing was a SANFL TV commentator for the ABC)

Haha. "He quickly became one of the Sydney Swans? most popular players with his chiseled physique, long platted hair and fashionable style". Who wrote this? I remember him. He was hopeless.

I wonder if that's based on fact or speculation. It is a US article after all.

Great read, thanks Jono2707. Wouldn't have recognised him in the street without his dreadlocks.
