Will there be any Sydney based commentators or radio stations doing a GF call? I don't want to listen to C 7s obviously biased coverage

HSV-7, SEN, 3AW and The Hun are local media for local people, there's nothing for South there! Trouble is, most Sydney outlets just regurgitate that dross from their sister stations and papers south of the border. Those who claim a national reach, like Fox, should and do know better but are too unprofessional to care.

It does matter. Many of our sponsors are global and national brands paying good money for wide exposure. If they receive none when we make a grand final then when will they? After we win it? I'm not so sure. The western bravedog heartbreak headlines are already lined up in case the worst happens.

I have no love for the dogs. Wouldn't worry me of they never won a flag . For all of their existance they have been carried by the VFL/AFL. They have had bugger all to do with the large increase in revenue of AFL over the last 20 years.
After 100 years of existance they are only "bigger" than GWS and GC. Within a decade they will reclaim last spot.

The media has been nausiating so much so that this is the least excited ive been for a swans GF ever.

There's a lot of sentimentality comparing the Dogs to Swans 2005, but I think the Swans 1996 campaign is a much better comparison.

The AFL facebook is overwhelmingly Doggies coverage and bias, its hard to look at. Especially from a supposedly neutral platform

Over here in the West, 27 out of 32 of the tipsters (mostly media) in the West Australian news paper picked Sydney.

So it isn't so nauseating over here

Get over it people - many are happy to see the Doggies in the GF - as would most of us be if we weren't in it. Most of our narratives are known and fairly well worn thanks to our success of the last number of years. The Dogs are a breath of fresh air.

It's a similar case with the Sharkies in the NRL.

Now I look forward to a rolling up of the sleeves tomorrow and a thorough dismantling of the Dogs' dreams.

If they were playing Hawthorn, possibly.

After the wankfest in the media though, I honestly don't think I could stomach it as a neutral.

"Heart says bulldogs but UNFORTUNATELY my head says swans" has become a cliche within the space of a week.

I have not been surprised by the obsessions with the doggies this week - they deserve it, and its been a long time between drinks of just making a grand final. It has allowed hopefully our boys to just get on with it and not tied up in the euphoria.

There was as much interest around the Swans in 2005 as there is with the Bulldogs now. The same with North Melbourne in 1974 and 1975. The neutrals are all jumping on board because they like to see something different, something rare - a side winning a flag for the first time, or the first for a long time. I do not begrudge the Bulldogs their day in the Grand Final sunshine, they have suffered nearly as much as we have over the years including seven Preliminary Final losses in a row going back to 1985 and nearly merging with Fitzroy in 1989.

Let them have the joy of making the Grand Final. Hopefully, we will have the joy of winning it.

If the Dogs do lose, there is a little quirk that they should know. Every single side that has lost to the Swans in a Grand Final has made the Grand Final again the following year and all but one of them have won the premiership in that Grand Final (1910 being the only exception).

Go Swans! Show the Dogs that the toughest swords are forged in the hottest flames.
