    Qualifying Final Positives

    - Nick Davis was almost the gamebreaker. All his goals were superbly taken.
    - Defence was fantastic considering the amount of inside 50s they had. I thought Crouch was outstanding and Kennelly provided good run off half back.

Edit: Ah bugger, jumped the gun. Should be QF positives

    Mod edit: Fixed!

Kirk - magnificent (should be captain)

    Davis - good

Kennelly - excellent until taken out of the game at the end (poor coaching?)

    Buchanan - useful

C Bolton - sterling effort as usual

Crouch - excellent, shut down each opponent and provided some rebound
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Hopefully this should fire the team up for next week.

In addition to those points already posted, IMHO Willo had his best game for a while. Hopefully his cork isn't too bad.

And in a roundabout sort of way - the fact we got so close with Hall and ROK doing virtually nothing, and O'Loughlin not really getting much of the ball either.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

We didn't really play that well yet still pushed the Eagles all the way on their home turf.

I thought Jolly was sensational in the first quarter - a key reason why the Eagles didn't get a clear break on the scoreboard in the first 10 minutes despite dominating play.

Maybe a small point but Dempster was involved in a couple of clinch plays late in the game and he didn't lose his composure.

Kirk - outstanding. Hasn't been mentioned much in AA discussion but surely he would be an exceedingly worthy inclusion?

Our midfield was pretty much outplayed today - but after Kirk, Monty was probably our best and that was great to see.

Defence was outstanding for most of the game. Very unlucky to concede a losing score - just. B2 was as cool as a cucumber and Barry looked in total control too.

Probably Crouch's best game of the year - lots of drive from defence.

Positive: We have a game plan to win against any team at their homeground.

Negative: We cannot help against incompetent umpirings.

    Defense was outstanding.
    Jolly was good
MOL, and Davis kept us in it.

Bull@@@@. In case you hadnt noticed, this lock down game plan has lost us games against all 3 of the other top 4 teams at their home ground.

    Keep to the topic .

It's bloody hard coming up with positives right now. Need to assess in the cold light of day. But this thread really is going to come in handy this week to cheer everyone up.

The boys had a nice week in Perth.
    Roos didn't get fined.
    Magic didn't do his hammy.
    Goodes didn't do his knee.
    Bazza didn't get reported.
I didn't buy a ticket to the game.

There's a lot of negatives in those positives.
