Four goal umpires

I was talking to a VFL goal umpire today. Just for the fun of it I asked when the Leagues were going to bring in 4 goal umpires. He told me that next season (2007) the VFL will be using 4 goal umpires in the regular season.

You heard it here first...

BTW I can't tell you his name or where he works, I promised him that.

Me too. You can tell the Umpires, they are the ones carrying a couple of white flags in their shopping bags.

Hell, I'm signing up!
It pays really well.
And you don't have to do the yards that the regular umps do.
Admittedly, you gotta cop the abuse of the cheer sqauds tho'.
(Kenny can get quite personal I'm told)
