I went. I was close by and had a bit of time to kill. There wouldn't have been more than 40 members there, but it was a really interesting evening. I'd certainly go again next year.

That might not sound like a lot, but it's not bad for the first AGM in, what, 20 years? The Vic clubs usually only get a couple of hundred die-hards... even the big meetings in which boards are toppled and mergers are argued rarely need venues larger than suburban town halls. It will take time to build a participatory club culture.Originally posted by eirinn

How did the club advise the members that the meeting was on?
It doesn't appear to be in the last Swans News and I didn't notice it on the website.
CHER - Who has two types of blood cells "RED ones and WHITE ones"
There was an email a few weeks back iirc. I went "right, will remember that" and of course promptly forgot.
Part of the reason so few might of turned up was that the club only has to give 21 days notice of any AGM, so that might have a part in the low turn out.
Once was, now elsewhere
I don't think the main reason some wanted voiting rights was so they could turn up at the AGM.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

Could also be that as reigning premiers the members feel there is nothing to complain about.Originally posted by robbieando
