MCC Reserve is the same, Collars must be worn.

As a long-term SCG Member, I whole heartedly agree with the rule. It prevents me being surrounded by slobbish, boorish, drunken, pot-smoking, obnoxious, offensive yobbos.

I fill that role quite admirably as it is.

I recall a conversation one morning in a hotel room in Melbourne, prior to going to sit in the MCC Reserve and after a night of very heavy drinking; it went along the lines of
Stella's/Stella's brother's friend: "You can't wear that, you need to have a collar on your shirt."
Stella: "I didn't bring any shirts with a collar."
Stella's brother: "You can borrow one of my polo shirts."
Stella: "I'm not going to wear a @@@@ing polo shirt."
Stella's brother: "What about this then?" (Holds up a chambray shirt)
    Stella: "Look, just @@@@ off."

Does the MCC know the arguments it causes?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Funny, as long as you wear a collar, you can still get in as a slobbish, boorish, drunken, pot-smoking, obnoxious, offensive yobbos. As long as you pay your dues.

Yes, funny. It's amazing how many of the nice 'respectable' types in the Members tut-tutting the behaviour of others you run into at certain clubs in Kings Cross after the game

I was thinking about some of the neanderthals you see in the actual reserve.

Sounds like a Freo Shockers game.
    Even Santa follows the Swannies.
