I have to tell you that Ellis Noack holds the record for playing for the most number of clubs in Sydney.
Ellis is still alive and kicking and in his mid sixties.
He started with Eastern Suburbs (as it was known then) in 1957, then went to St George, then captain coach at Newtown, then a long stint at Southern Districts (formerly a club incorporating Liverpool, Bankstown and Parramatta clubs and playing out of Rosedale Oval) in the sixties. Then he had a year at South Sydney, back to Sthn Districts and finished up playing with his boys at Campbelltown.
So a total of six clubs and during this time because he was a cop, played 200 odd games for the police team in the mid week services comp. Not a bad effort eh?
