    Was there any notable absentees?

Did they finally convince Merv Neagle to lob?

What about ex coaches Tee Shirt Tommy, Gary Buckerina, Coach for a Day Terry Wallett and the wonderful Col Kinnear. I noted Diesel was there so Col could have been hanging onto his coat tails. I expect Rodney Eade took a rain check on his invite until the 50th.

Have Francis Jackson and David Ackerley finally shaved off those shockers of beards?

    So who then didn't front?

I bet there were a lot of faces people didn't have a clue on.

I wonder if there was an ex player who didn't sign an autograph.

Another thing that I would like to know.

Did they have a player attendance register that we could all get a copy of.

There's only one Tony Lockett!! I know he didn't show. He did a video, which they played on the night.

We all given a book which listed for each year the team coach, captain & club champion.

I think there were around 130-140 players (cant remember the exact number) who attended.

It was hard to see who was there - the current players all seemed to be in the centre of the room - but when you have 190 tables it was hard to see everyone. The beauty of the boys next to us was that you could tell most hadnt seen each other in ages and they were having a great time.

    [QUOTE=Layby;314146][QUOTE=Wardy;314097]The wines were McGuigans

    Good grief !

Is that crap legal in this state ?

yes well have to agree with you - it wasnt what I would have expected considering the price of a ticket and all - but for me as it was free - I didnt mind.

The "gift" bottle wine that we got sells in Dan Murphy's for $11 - of course the label on the bottle is priceless.!

when I work out how to download the pics from the camera (I left the plug thingy at home!)- I will send the one of me and Spida - he had to bend sideways so as he fitted into the shot as I came up to just above his elbow! RP - you must have run around like a mad man getting photo's - my timing was crap in that department - I ventured to where it was all happeneing, but too many poeple walked into shot - so in the end I gave up (and the battery's went flat on the camera!) and went back and chatted with Stafford & MacPherson instead - nice blokes - Brad Seymour and Stefan Carey were on the same table - a nice bunch of guys indeed.

Like a kid in a candy store... figured that seeing as I was pissed, they were pissed, then there was no harm in us both looking like fools!!! And besides, if I only carry on like that once every 25 years, it isn't really that bad is it??? lol

Yeah - I was having a merry old time (despite some of the other participants at my table knowing jack about the Swans or AFL footy - and made no effort to mingle) So I just ignored them and had a great time - by the time the dessert wine came out - I reckon 3/4 of the crowd in the tent were tanked!(well I know I was!!!)
