    Call it a pre-emptive strike....

Just didn't want all the whingers to start moaning on how we're always ripped by the umpires....

As for yesterday, well the free kick count matche dthe possession. We had it all day and the only way they could get the ball was via a free kick!!!

And the Bummers game??? I reckon us playing the first and/or the second quarter would have made more of an impact to the result than one dodgy decision in the last 2 minutes...

Ahhh, dude, read my post again. I wasn't talking about the OOB call.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

    Fair call......

But We also played like Narwee under 21's 3rds for the first and second quarters.... Considering the margin, I still think THAT would have made more difference to the end result...

I'm talking about the drivers behind the poor play.

Nah mate, you may be one eyed, there is logic behind your view.

There's nothing better than statistics to prove a point:

    Sydney Swans Team Rankings
    Frees against per game: 1
Team to opponent frees for per game difference: 16

    Sydney Swans Team Rankings
Least opponent disposals per game: 1
Least opponent kicks per game: 1
Least opponent marks per game: 1
Least opponent Handballs per game: 1
Least opponent goals per game: 3
Least opponent behinds per game: 1
    Hitouts per game: 1

This sounds like the umpiring calling time-off. The umpire will blow his whistle to stop the clock when he runs in to line the man up on the mark. If he does so the player cannot play on as the clock has stopped and hence the ball will be returned to the kicker.

I dare say that is what happened.

One other team that cops it from the Umps unfairly I think is Carlton. I am not a bluebagger sympathiser but the Umps really hate them. They never get the 50/50s.

It's not the reason they lose but it doesn't help a delicately pathetic team like Carlton.

If Carlton are dealt poorly by the umpires that we really are up the proverbial, considering the free kick count against Carlton a few weeks back when we played them was 14 27 against us!
    Swannies for life!
