Hall to step down from captaincy

Didn't see this one coming but understand the thinking behind it. You'd have to think that Goodsey would be in prime position to step into his shoes given Roos seems committed to a three-way share of the role.

If he can get back to being the "most feared forward in the AFL", then it is a good decision. I guess time will tell.

The most feared forward in the AFL - can't see BBH having this tag whilst one Jonathon Brown is running around.

He's not feared because he can kick goals - he's feared because he can knock you out for a week if he makes conact.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

At his best, Barry is the the equal of Brown in the fearsome and goal kicking areas.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Spot on Big Al,but IMO Melcho should be given the captaincy.

Logical step for both Hall...and Benny.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

I agree, it looks like a step forward for the new season. Let's hope Baz gets back to his 2005 form.

Thanks Hally for that beautiful long bomb right on 50m that swung the momentum our way in 2005! A great captains goal.
