    Recent bad starts in Victoria

    Has anyone noticed how the Swans in the past two years or so have usually got off to really bad first quarters in games played in Victoria. 8 of the past 13 games in particular have been real shockers:

    2006 Round 1 against Essendon. 1st Quarter 2 goals to 9
    2006 Round 20 against Geelong. 1st Quarter 3 goals to 5
    2006 Grand Final against West Coast. 1st Quarter 1 goal to 4.
    2007 Round 6 against Kangaroos. 1st Quarter 1 goal to 7.
    2007 Round 11 against Hawthorn. 1st Quarter 1 goal to 4
    2007 EF against Collingwood. 1st Quarter 1 goal to 6
    2008 Round 1 against St Kilda. 1st Quarter 1 goal to 4.
    2008 Round 4 against Geelong. 1st Quarter 1 goal to 6.

    Oh, by the way, the Swans have won just 2 of last 10 games played in Victoria. (The two wins being against 2007 Round 2 Richmond,and 2007 Round 11 against Hawthorn)

    Don't forget the 2005 Richmond game where the soon to be premiers were down by FIFTY POINTS to the nearly worst team in the league!!!!

    You forgot Round 3, 2006, against Carlton at Telstra Dome, which we won by 7 points. As to why our recent record in Victoria is so poor, who can say.
