Great job, well done to both of them. I'm more than happy to eat humble pie in regards to Kirk, I thought he was just about past it but he has been very good this season. I'm a huge fan of Ryan and am ecstatic to see him get the recognition.
Apart from those guys I think Jolly could have at least earnt himself a shortlist nod, a bit odd that they only opted for 2 ruckmen for the shortlist (and will presumably be true to form and name 2 ruckmen in the final 22).
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
Jolly's last 5 or 6 weeks probably cost him.

Oh yep, I agree he has gone off the boil a bit- I just thought his start was good enough to justify being on the shortlist. If they are going to bother to shortlist guys before they name the final list then I thought they could go at least +1 on the ruckmen.

Im a bit upset that they nominated ROK as "never previously selected" when he made AA as a half forward in 2006........

Who are the clowns that pick this thing? No Bevan?

It will be culled down to 22 names in the next few day. Remarkably, Craig Bolton was left out completely. Notwithstanding the presence of O'Keefe and Kirk, I wouldn't hold your breath that a Swan player will make the 22
