If every kick were to be touched off the boot, it cannot be marked (maybe umpire dependent).

Just a bad run of luck or is there something else to it?

Thats a worrying stat indeed! In fact, the Swans have only won 3 games in the past 15 played in Victoria. And those 3 victories were by just 16 points (Richmond R1 07); 9 points (Hawthorn R11 07); and 2 points (Carlton R16 08)

We should also hang on to our hats in the 1st quarter. Two of the three worst ever quarters for the Sydney since the mid 1990's came in the first quarter of finals games played at the G.

First, there was the 51 point 1st Quarter thrashing against the Bulldogs in 1997.

Second, there was the 43 point 1st Quarter thrashing against the Bombers in 1999.

I was at both of those games and it was horrible! Not sure that I could handle that sort of performance again (particularly considering last year against Collingwood as well). Think positive, think positive.

    Go the Swans!

I don't think the 2008 Dogs are as good as the 97 Dogs or the 99 Bombers.

Surely this is the best time to get the dogs this year, with massive injury concerns and no confidence...
    Sucker!

If that were true, they'd be no way you'd hear about it on the news.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I suggest he can smell the end of his career. Nothing to hold back for.

On top of that the previous two finals we played at the 'G had crappy first quarters.

    Collingwood 07 EF 1.4 to 6.5

    West Coast 06 GF 1.4 to 4.2

Totally agree. 2nd half was our best football for 10 weeks.

The dogs will try and flood so I think the on ballers need to get the footy down to Hally and Goodes real quick.

Or alternatively hold the ball and spot a leading forward. Every great strategy has to have a plan B

Well Plan B was a miserable failure.
