Best Swans individual performance of the regular season?

What was, in your own heart, the best individual performance this year? There can be no wrong answers as this is just based on your own opinion.... so no arguing

Mine would be (after some thought because it has just been such a huge year) Andrew Schauble holding Alastair Lynch to two handballs.

kirky on nathan buckley, round 6... buckley still got 31 possessions but buckley was frustrated as hell! and kirky didnt have to resort to 'cray brothers' tactics... put kirky on the map IMO

Craig Bolton on Mathew Richardson was a good one.

    Kirk on Bell.

Goodes had a number of good individual performances, especially the one against port.

Goodes against Collingwood in Round 6. Dominated and set up the win!

A 'key' perormance, although not maybe the best individual, was Jude Bolton's game in Rd 1.

Massive confidence boost for Jude and the Sydney midfield in general.

Set the springboard for the above expectation year that we had.

People have concentrated on Kirk the tagger this year but he set us alight in the last quarter of the Melbourne game which looking back was prelude to a sensational run.

Kirk on Buckley on both occassions. Even though the Swans didn't win the last time, Kirk's performance was fantastic and you could see that Buckley was frustrated. I also liked Craig Bolton against Matthew Richardson in Round Six.

    Micky O's form this year

Leigh Matthews has been quoted as saying:

Interviewer - What have you learnt from playing Sydney twice and loasing to them both times

LM - Micky O and Goodes sure can play.......they are almost impossible to match up on....we had no-one at the club to naturally play on them
Will this be the year !!!!

As much as you have to, by default, hate Collingwood- I like Nathan Buckley. He has been very big to come out in the press applauding Brett Kirk, calling for Kirk's All-Australian selection and saying that playing against Kirk is the biggest individual test for midfielders.

Probably helps that Brett is a suprising Mr Clean in the run-with stakes, as opposed to just about everybody else playing similar roles around the leauge at the moment... so of course you're opponents will like you!

Defensive roles - Kirk on Hayes, Kirk on West, C.Bolton on B.Johnson, Crouch on P.Burgoyne.

Offensive roles - Hall v Brisbane (2nd time), Goodes last week, especially in the 1st half, O'Loughlin v Brisbane (1st time)

This is however where straight stats don't give the complete picture. So few of these possessions were telling. One of the primary reasons I enjoyed going to the footy was to watch Paul Kelly play. Nowadays it is an absolute delight watching the Kirkster. Each week he wipes the floor with someone. Can't really cite a particular game above any of his others. Super-consistent and invaluable.

My favourite individual moment so far would have to be Tadhg's goal against the Crows in Round 3. Sensational.

It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.
