Got it from an absolute gold plated, impeccable, high ranking inside source with unparalleled knowledge of Brett's club that his skills and decision making qualities are exquisite but his fitness and attitude to fitness are no where near AFL standard at this point, However given that VFL players are not full timers (unless already on AFL list) then this is perhaps understandable.
