A tough one to pick, they looked very good against the cats, although it was over in perth. I think the dockers would have to be buggered after that game, it took everything from them to get over the line. For that reason and because it is at SCG, swans by 16 points.

We'd have to improve dramatically to beat them, even after a 2 week break.

We'll have to improve to beat quite a few teams. Honestly we were one of the least impressive teams in R1. Very sharp, lots of goals, fast paced - round 1 really set the scene for this year. Thankfully Horse seemed to recognise this too in today's presser, so he'll certainly be pushing them hard and revving the boys up this week.

Big challenge, but I don't mind having one early. It'll be good focusing the players and will hopefully draw out a big crowd. First home game so I hope people are bringing all their friends and family.

The cynic in me says Freo are looking hot out of the starting gate; we coasted and took 4 points easily in Round One.
The optimist in me says we tend to play to the level of our opponents (regularly-scheduled 3rd quarter naps aside); we will rise to give them a good scrap.

... unfortunately, my genetics being half-Slavic, cynicism usually has the upper hand ...

I've been wondering about how big the crowd will be. It's Easter Saturday, the SCG's being redeveloped, and it's Fremantle, a traditionallly low-drawing team.

Freo are a 10% better side at Pattersons. But they still looked sharper than us. Probably about 20 to 30% sharper. We looked as though we were going through the motions. Something seems wrong at the moment with motivation. They are doing the moves but there seems a lack of enthusiasm, has anyone else noticed. It was obvious last week in the last 10 minutes of the third and in the last and it seemed to rub off on the crowd. I started to lose interest about 10 minutes into the last and I always barrack hard to the last second.

Have a think about how many Swans had uncharacteristically poor games against GWS, if they turn up to play we'll be a big % better than R1.
