After leading by nine points at quarter time in an even contest, the Saints took control in the 2nd and 3rd term destroying the slow swans.
5 goals to 1, followed by 6 goals to 3. The swans had no anwser to the relentless attack of the Saints. A strong last quarter put some respectability on the scoreboard, but the Saints never looked like losing the game.
3 Goals to Lewis Jetta. 28 disposals to McVeigh. 8 tackles to Kenndey who was well down on his usual numbers.

Round 10: Sydney Swans (132) def Western Bulldogs (40), SCG

In wet conditions the swans who are not renowned for their accuracy in front of goal, had a sudden spate of Can Not Miss. And in Wet conditions.
9 goals straight to 1 goal 1 must have really dented any spirit the dogs may have had. The scoring dried up in the 2nd term, but opened up again in the 3rd with 6 goals to 1. 10 goals to 2 in the 2nd half. The swans were relentless.

4 goals to Jetta, and 3 each to McGlynn adn Dennis-Lane. 41 disposals to the veteran war horse, Jude Bolton, leaving the young guns in his wake. Hannebery (35) and Jack (34).

Joey has slowed in the vote getting but still maintains a commanding 3 game lead from Young Dan.

Cardinal finally returns from overseas and the Swans can start winning again - phew. The season can only end positively now.
