Sorry but you must be joking, have you seen Grundy play? He is amazing!
I like the look of Naismith but he is miles behind Grundy in ability atm.

Yes I agree Grundy is very very good. Clearly well ahead of Naismith. But he was also a bit of a gamble that paid off for Buckley when he first played him. You just never know that's all. We clearly gotta give pyke some backup and choices are Derickx which is a temporising measure or a rapid learning curve that could pay off later with Naismith. That's all I mean

Grundy is amazing. A basketballer who within three years of turning to Australian Rules was good enough to keep Jolly out of the team. Let's hope Pat Mitchell can pick up footy skills just as quickly.

Put in the Tasmanian...my catch cry for the rest of the season and possibly the next one...great set of hands

I actually know he's not ready but I'll still keep saying it.

Yes the more I've thought about the first game the more I've come to the conclusion that the biggest difference between us was the ruck. Pyke has been used to sharing ruck with Mumford. By the time the second half came pyke was exhausted and we lost so many clearances and contested ball. We need to play a second proper ruck to share it with pyke. Only debate in my mind is who

I agree re needing the second ruckman. I think it has to be Tom D until KT is fit. The harder question for me is who drops out for Tom D? LRT - I really want him in our backline; Laidler - I want him to get gametime at this stage of the season; Cunningham - not even close to a like-for-like swap, changes our balance.

Yes need a second ruck. Prob Derickx but I'm honestly curious about Naismith. I think sadly it will be LRT sacrificed. I think laidler needs to stay. I'd also keep ROK in because we need the balance and wise head. That leaves Keiren jack to come back in with Cunningham out for now.

Later when Kurt tippet comes back I still think id keep the second ruck in and push Reid back to take laidlers place.

Other big question is who goes when goodes returns

With AJ out for the season its imperative that Laidler plays as long as his form holds up. Better to hold LRT in reserve if we play a 2nd Ruckman. I am no so sure that it makes that much of a difference whether we play LRT or Derickx, they would end up playing the same role anyway. I prefer LRT because of his versatility.

Just not so sure LRT is up to the 2nd ruck job as much as I like him

    Who is Collingwood's second ruckman?
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.
