After the first round of matches, what were your impressions? Who impressed or didn't impress?
If you played, coached, volunteered, attended any games; how did it go? Tell us about the match day experience.

Looks like the game between East Coast & Manly was something special, with Manly coming from miles behind to win after the siren. North Shore winning by a kick against Wests - maybe we've been under-estimating North Shore's chances this season. And a big win by UTS - is this the year they finally crack the finals?
Plenty of action through the divisions. Plenty of talking points.

Hope the kid from Penno is alright. Seems like it was a pretty bad break. 30 seconds into the season, very unlucky.

Penrith's thoughts are also with the young Wests Under 19 player who broke a femur in the last 2 minutes of the game at Greygums. I believe it was his first game of AFL and was told that he was going for a job interview today. The following matches were all put back about an hour whilst paramedics treated hi. We wish him a speedy recovery and thank Wests and Manly, who played the following games for their understanding and concern about the player.

Also wish the Camden Div 5 player who suffered a broken collar bone in the early match, a quick recovery.

Other tan these two unfortunate incidents, a successful opening round at Greygums, albeit no thrilling finishes. Our Div 3 and 5 teams recorded easy wins and the 19's suffered a loss to an undermanned 2014 premiers, Wests. The Div 2 match was a tough affair and well done to Manly on a fairly resounding win. I don't know what they put in the water on the Northern Beaches, but I wouldn't mind getting a few bottles of it. Extremely fit and fast team who will be hard to beat for the flag this year

Not sure who selects the match of the week, clearly it should be shared around as a promotional tool .... however, not to pick Eagles v Giants with the last 5 Prem Div flags between them may have denied us all a look at one of the best games of the season. Goal after the siren to win.

Managed to make it to the second half of the Manly and East Coast Game. After watching the second half I honestly can NOT see any of the other clubs challenging the Giants or Eagles. The game was fast, hard and unbelievably structured.

East Coast would be one of the bigger sides in the comp (Body size and height) and Manly looked very fit and quick, particularly in the last when the bigger ECE bodies slowed down. ECE just ran out of legs.

It will be an ECE V Manly GF with the Eagles taking it from my view, when their match fitness picks up their top 10 players are just a class above.

    Great Game to Watch
