We started playing dry weather football - bauking, lots of handballs etc but they have settled now and realise this is just a slog. Wish we could have kicked a couple of those behinds though. Nankervis having an impact.

Just needs it to happen for more than one quarter. Good to see Macca up and about.

Nankers doing exactly as you'd hope - crash, bang and making a contest.

And at risk of upsetting some people, McVeigh's class and touch important in this weather. Kennedy a beauty.

Rose had started well too. Allir just needs to get a bit smarter, does some nice stuff and then some really dumb stuff.

Are the swans the unluckiest team in the AFL in terms of weather?

Yes, I thought that McVeigh was possibly BOG in the first quarter bog. Towers has been surprisingly useful. While Kennedy, Jack and Parker have slowly been getting on top in the clinches.

Lucky we have a week off next week, all these wet games must really drain the Swannies.

McGlynn seems a bit past it, but Towers looks like a good replacement.

McVeigh hopefully coming into top form. Coming off no pre season at his age, maybe it's just taken him a while to find the pace. I hope that's the case. Our two big guys Sinclair and Nanka have been good.

Very hard slog but really we should win this by 4-5 goals in these conditions. Most of the team has played pretty well really. Allir showing good judgement and reads the play well - he just needs to be a bit more sure with his disposals.

Heeney seems a bit down at the moment - conditions probably don't suit but would like to see a bit more go from him.

Thought that all our defenders played well and are right on top. Our midfield is also on top. Hopefully our forwards can take advantage and put the game away.
