I'm happy with the changes. I wanted to see Naismith, Aliir and Papley come in the side and they're all there. Horse said that Heeney was being rested. He's a star, but just needs a bit of a rest to freshen up. Laidler was a bit off last week. He's not injured, because he's listed in the reserves side. Bringing in both Aliir and Ted, we had to drop Laidler.

Now that Foote is not even an emergency it really surprises me that he was upgraded this week. It just seems so unnecessary. Suppose he gets injured in the reserves, then we will have wasted an upgrade slot, unless the rules allow you to withdraw the upgrade under those circumstances. These rookie upgrade rules are some of the most obscure in the AFL.

I like it, we have to play the structures. Heeney is tired and sore, a few weeks managed should see him back and ready for the finals.

Heeney had 4 touches last week. Maybe he was left out due to poor form, but they didn't want to say so.

Laidler out Alir in. Sounds like we are rebuilding.

    Rank outsiders this week.

He isn't playing reserves while the other three are

Mitchell goes, Mills goes to the midfield. QED.

Rohan to play serious forward minutes. His game will mirror ours I feel

I think it took a certain amount of courage to make those selection changes, dropping people who've been at the very least useful, and at times much better than that. But I think they were positive decisions, and although I don't give us much chance of beating the Cats, the selections are a move in the right direction.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I believe "tanking" is deliberately trying to lose.
Not trying to win is something else.

Thought Laidler struggled last week, dropped a lot of marks that he should have taken. As well, the Cats are VERY tall.
