Thread: I love the DOGS!!

I know i am talking to myself, but i found the ch 7 commentary disgusting last night. Bruce was barracking all the night, the other "blokes" gave us a warning about hawthorn coming out and being ruthless and then changed with two minutes of the bounce. Then we had to put up with a whole half of the bulldogs being so brave with all the injuries etc.

AND then Bruce sounded deflated at the end of the match and actually said "Thank you hawthorn" assuming he spoke for the rest of us. His tone in the last 5 mins of the match was sombre and sounded depressed, not what a professional caller should be doing.

Bruce McAveney sounded like his whole family had just died by 3QT.

The problem with the dumb AFL media apart from living in a bubble, they actually think we like all these narratives and scripts they come up with when they have their weekly meetings.

Next weeks final i would suggest turning the volume down and putting on some nice soundtrack music, thats what I have been doing for the majority of swans games and its made a big difference in enjoying of the game. Nothing irritates me more than stupid AFL commentators getting all excited about the underdog coming back and winning with 5 mins to go even though they are 10 goals down. Having to hear deerrwaarynes "They are still in this" or bruces "You just get a feeling 2 more goals and they could come back here" makes me want to throw my drink at the tv, but then i will be sleeping in the dog house for the rest of the month because no tv for wife and kids.

I was at the game and it was interesting seeing the melting by the hawks supporters.

They kept whining about non frees and the frees that the bulldogs received.

They whinged about the booing of Hodge. How ironic!

The younger supporters aren't used to losing and there were some tantrums.

I was surprised at how many of their supporters left early in the last quarter. Not much respect for the team that won the last 3 flags.

And last night there was a fight in the city between hawk supporters. I think one may have been knocked out.

It's a nice feeling knowing that the hawks won't win it this year. Now please please please swans win tonight!

Extra incentive to win is HAwks supporters hate the swans and it would make their week that extra bit nightmarish.

Such vile supporters in every facet. And the obnoxiousness from the 24-50 age group is grating.

Lets see how many new 2017 members scarf and members stickers we shall see, because in the past 3 years they have been everywhere.

Poor old Hawthorn, with the AFL concentrating on getting the flag to the North Canberra Giants so that well over 50 people get the enjoyment they so richly deserve they have been on their own a bit. The Hawks Umpiring team have tried but ultimately failed. Clarkson will be demanding a review of this part of the Hawks operations that's for sure.

Still, the coveted flog supporters of the year award is safely in their keeping for a record 4th year in a row. Thats something to savour at least.

..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

    Bye bye poos and wees.
    Just bye.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Bruce embarrassed the game on Friday night, just so unprofessional and biased commentating.

Anyway, they lost and I love the Dogs too. Just how impressive is The Bont for a 20 year old

Bruce is a perfect example and very symbolic of everything that is wrong with this code.

And Goodes was a lot better than flavour of the month, Bont.

I enjoy the work of First Dog on the Moon and here is his take on the game. "They're on your head dear"

Now, do we need a Giants v Doggies thread and who are we all cheering for tonight?
