And I was half expecting this to happen today..
I've been feeling very disillusioned by the AFL this year. The fact that we didn't get our final at the SCG, the good deals that GWS are getting, and now this ridiculous rubbish at the GF.
I went to the Prelim in Melbourne this year, and I'm happy I have now been to the MCG to see a game. But I won't be spending my money on a final again.. The AFL have pretty much lost me as a die hard fan.I'm convinced that there is some sort of favoritism for Melbourne clubs,I'm half convinced that there may be some outright corruption.
I will just look at the AFL as predetermined entertainment rather than sport now
I will maintain my Swans membership, because the club are fabulous, the team always tries, and a Swans match at the SCG on a Saturday night is fun and exciting.
But I don't support AFL anymore...just the Swans...
I suggest we'll all be back at the SCG for the first home game next year
final quarter was fair, they killed us, but the first 3 quarters was disgraceful umpiring. So I'm not sure how to feel

Yep, I think (almost) everyone here agrees we were robbed of a flag today. Sure we didn't play the best we could have, but we weren't allowed to play well. Our momentum was stunted from the opening bounce to the final siren. Neill Cordy's article from the Sun summaries the situation today perfectly.

Every time it becomes enjoyable to be a Swans fan again, the AFL smashes us down......it is becoming increasingly hard to enjoy this game that I love so much. Those smug bastards know that this injustice will be lost in the romance of the 'history' they helped create, lost in the rejoicing of the non-Swan masses, and they will continue to pull the strings with the arrogance that comes with corrupt power. I'm disillusioned. It's going to be a long frustrating off season.
