Thumbs up VOTE each week for best on ground in the Troy Luff Medal (TLM) - late starters ok

The annual Troy Luff Medal is the RWO fan vote for the Sydney Swans' best and fairest. Please us this thread to vote each week. To cast your vote, click on the link in the nav above or click here.

    Some history on the award:
In 2002, the Troy Luff Medal began informally, with people nominating their top 3 or 5 players each week after the match. The idea grew more and more popular and it was decided to instigate the fans Best and Fairest award.

The winners of the Troy Luff Medal have also been the Swans Best and Fairest winners up until 2007, and have consistently polled well in media awards and the Brownlow Medal, some even winning it.

The organisers decided to name the award the Troy Luff Medal in recognition of Troys service to the Club and his support for the RWO - RedAndWhiteOnline.com website and because of his 110% effort always when playing for the Swans.

The award is for the best player throughout the year, as judged by those fans who participate in the RWO - RedAndWhiteOnline.com community. Each week, fans awarded 3, 2, 1 votes. These votes are tallied and points allocated to the top 5 players each week.

Voting is secret. The top five players in contention are revealed each week with the number of votes for each unknown (players are listed in surname order). The overall winner is revealed at the end of the season.

The winner receives a presentation of the years voting.

To ensure a representative award, it is important that as many people as possible vote consistently every week. If you miss a round, it won't taint your vote, but it will reduce its impact for that round. Round by round summaries below.

You don't have to be in it from Round One either.

In alphabetical order, the top five on the leader board after round 1 (which were - coincidentally - the top five vote getters for round 1) are:

    Lance Franklin
    Kieran Jack
    Jake Lloyd
    Tom Mitchell
    Luke Parker

36 RWO members voted in the round, which is an encouraging start. 10 different players were the recipient of one or more votes.

Round 2 is now open for voting.

There are three other players within striking distance of the top five. Will be interesting to see what happens with this week's vote. There's a fair chance of a change in the leaderboard.

Round 8 had 28 members voting, pretty low, and probably because we lost. 10 players polled this round.

Here is the leaderboard after round 8 (in alphabetical order).

    Dan Hannebery
    Isaac Heeney

Round 9 had 41 members voting, with just nine players polling - clearly we all were of similar mind on who our best were this round. The battle for BoG was close this week too.

Here is the leaderboard after round 9 (in alphabetical order).

    Lance Franklin
    Dan Hannebery
    Isaac Heeney
    Luke Parker
    Kurt Tippett

Alrighty, excuse the delay this week. I ended up missing the game and had to wait until I watched the replay.

Round 10 had 36 members voting, with ten players polling. It's no surprise that Mitchell secured BoG and storms back into the leaderboard, replacing Isaac Heeney.

Here is the leaderboard after round 10 (in alphabetical order).

    Lance Franklin
    Dan Hannebery
    Tom Mitchell
    Luke Parker
    Kurt Tippett
