    Changes for Swans vs Bombers

With the events of the weekend still fresh in everyone's minds and its backs to the wall for the last five rounds, repay the courage that AJ has shown over the past several years and select him now .Lots of media are writing us off and that when we are at our most dangerous .I can imagine the lift the players would have by running out alongside our premiership hero ,he won't let anyone down least of all his beloved swans .

    INS : AJ. Grundy ,Dawson

    Outs : Marsh,Cameron, Newman

No, no, no, no, no to Dawson. Enough of the kids. Only changes are bringing back experience as and when they are ready.

    Agree everything except Dawson.

Say bye bye to some of the 'kids' at season's end then.....if Dawson is not rewarded soon, he's outa here. You think other clubs haven't noticed him?

Or learn when to give the ball off, and hit a teammate on the chest with a short handball.
Several have missed their mark in recent weeks, and some have been costly.

Zac doesn't seem to know what to do when he finds himself in space in the front half of the ground. Perhaps this is unfamiliar territory - but the forward structure is also partly to blame. My observation is that Zac is looking for an option but not finding one. However, I don't think he's alone in this. Our attacking structure in the front half of the ground is poor. It's almost like we're so used to defending (and practice makes perfect) we don't know what to do when we have the ball in space. - hence all the turnovers.

    Agree.

There have been a number of examples in the past couple of weeks of midfielders taking the game on and having no open targets—Jones, Florent beating and evading opponents, but being caught with ball in hand.

But I think that last week the forward structure was tipped out of balance by the selection of Cameron, so that we were top heavy: over the past few weeks, even in the loses, we were working towards 1) McCartin as FF bringing ball to ground for the smalls to rove and 2) finding alternative routes to goal. The Suns responded by launching defensive fists at incoming balls, which took the smalls out of the equation, and we reverted to 'kick it long to Buddy' (who should be playing on the wing, not as key forward).

After a few days of reflection, I'm not so upset by the loss, as terrible as it was. I am putting it down to growing pains as we transition to a faster game. What was missing, I think, was a cool head to take the pace off the game as it started to get away from us. Whenever we got the ball, it felt that we were rushing and either kicking to manned up targets, or pushing handballs and yielding turnovers.

Yes, somehow his decision making has become totally void of football nouse.

Newman; third quarter coming out from defence; swan player leading straight for him with a gold coast player behind him.

Kicks the ball thirty meter over their heads!!!

Trade at the end of the year.

Mccartin also need a rest; has had a great run but time to go back to the the seconds to work on the finer points of his game.

Also Parker; racks up the stats but so many going just forward without hitting anyone.

Why was Heeny playing in defence???

Move him into the centre and Parker out!

Bring in Dawson as well; the kid can play, just like COR!

I don't think he was playing in defence. From listening to the commentary his opponent took him down there and he wasn't accountable so he cost us a couple of goals.

+ another. I'm generally a fan but he needs to learn his poop does stink. That moment when he got caught holding the ball and stood and whinged to the ump (against what was a bleedingly obvious fee) while his opponent took and scored the goal - that was the sign Zac needs some time to reflect on where he's at.

    Replace them all.
    I'll play.
It couldn't be any worse than last week.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
