    Round 9: the other games.

Should be a competitive start to the round, with Carlton taking on Melbourne tonight. Hoping for a Melbourne win, as I'd quite like to see Carlton drop out of the eight. Even if it means Collingwood coming in.

Interesting round, with it being one the rare occasions when the top eight teams play each other.

I’d prefer The Dees remain on 24 pts .

Unfortunately the Demons don't even look like scoring.

    And didn't!

30 - 0 the Blues way at quarter time and as much as I hate, hate, hate them, I have to admit that the Vultures were fantastic that quarter.

    C'mon Dees - lift!

This game shows how much being clean and one touch matters given the game is played in microseconds and millimetres.

A fumble can cost a turnover goal. Clean hands can create an offensive goal.

Oh well, at least Carlton didn't boost their percentage.

Sorry, I just stuffed up the 'Rnd-9-Pre-Match-List-vs-Fremantle-at-Optus-Stadium-8-30-PM-Friday-10-May-2024' thread with an ABC link in my post.....could you fix it mod's?

I'll then post again with an AFL.com.au article link on the same subject.

I've enjoyed Port giving Geelong a hiding in that quarter. They seem to have a definite plan of breaking at high pace from contests and kicking as many spear passes as possible. A big improvement on how inept they looked last week.

It's too easy by Port. Geelong are in bad form the last couple of weeks. Last night showed that you can't give teams such a big start.
