Not only normal but to be expected. It's as hard for the Sydney teams to acquire coaching staff as it is for them to persuade players to relocate. So the pool of players who have laid down roots in NSW as a result of being drafted to Sydney (the city, not the club) is an obvious source of coaching staff and much larger than native Sydneysiders who've played elsewhere but now come home (like Mark McVeigh). The Giants haven't been around long enough to create such a pool of naturalised Sydneysiders so it's logical that ex-Swans form the bulk of that pool.
On Kennelly, he was with the Swans and was cut by us (as a result of COVID). So it's very hard to begrudge him his new role.
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."
I'll always love Tadhg. Good on him and, dare I say it, good on GWS.
'Delicious' is a fun word to say
It does look weird but I don't begrudge him. We let him go.....so who can blame him?
From Instagram photos, I see Dan Hannebery is currently holidaying with a group of our players on a beach in Croatia. Nice to see.
