I suppose North Melbourne think Longmire should have been coaching them and not the Swans.
Just commenting on the look of Tadhg in their polo, not about whether he should be coaching them or not. There's more than enough ex-Swans Buchanan, Schneider, Saddington, Doyle, Perris who have coached or are still coaching there for it to become rather normal now.

Not only normal but to be expected. It's as hard for the Sydney teams to acquire coaching staff as it is for them to persuade players to relocate. So the pool of players who have laid down roots in NSW as a result of being drafted to Sydney (the city, not the club) is an obvious source of coaching staff and much larger than native Sydneysiders who've played elsewhere but now come home (like Mark McVeigh). The Giants haven't been around long enough to create such a pool of naturalised Sydneysiders so it's logical that ex-Swans form the bulk of that pool.

On Kennelly, he was with the Swans and was cut by us (as a result of COVID). So it's very hard to begrudge him his new role.

But what an achievement for him - to reach a point where as an international player coming to the game late on and becoming a champion of the game, to now becoming head of a talent academy at an AFL club.

I'll always love Tadhg. Good on him and, dare I say it, good on GWS.

It does look weird but I don't begrudge him. We let him go.....so who can blame him?

From Instagram photos, I see Dan Hannebery is currently holidaying with a group of our players on a beach in Croatia. Nice to see.

No one cares what North Melbourne think. No one.
