Sidebottom has the look of a future A grader. Glad to see him back.

I'd have thought Sidebottom is already an A grader, not a future A grader. Unfortunately he doesn't play for us...

Can't see him changing clubs anytime soon. But I am happy Rowbottom got another chance.

Yes, a bit different to the unusually specific, but apparently inaccurate, description of Buddy's injury: 'minor hamstring strain'.

Separately, I'm surprised only one of 12 The Age tipsters has tipped Sydney. North second lowest tackles and clearances, most handballs. Super leaky defence too. They've conceded the most points, yet have second worst intercepts and third worst rebound 50s. We have third most points conceded, fifth worst intercepts, but most rebound 50s.

We're also unbeaten at Blundstone (at least within my footballing memory - I don't know if games were played there in the deep and distant past).

I'm flying out tomorrow for the game. Does anyone know if there's a meet up happening anywhere?
Today's a draft of your epitaph

I wonder if they are related?

‘Jack was ruled out due to delayed symptoms from a head knock in last week's game. The Swans insist he does not have concussion.

Jack returned to the field last week after passing a concussion test. He has been replaced by youngster James Rowbottom.’

The etymology of Sidebottom is intriguing.

One of the AFL podcasts I listen to did a preview of this game. The consensus was that North have been relatively good the last 3 weeks and if not for inaccuracy could have beaten Geelong last week.

Allegedly Rowbottom is a nephew of "Roaming" Brian Taylor. Although I'm not sure if he's related directly to BT or to his wife. He mentioned it on the Superfooty podcast last week
