Greater Western Sydney v Western Bulldogs @ Sydney Showground

Given how some in the footy media are starting to concoct the next Dogs miracle, I'd rather like the Giants to put them to the sword.
Bombers got into the 8 on the back of two umpire assisted come from behind wins against us and GWS.
I'd be happy for the Eagles to send them packing tonight!

Unfortunately, the fairypuppies are playing really well at the moment. That, plus the probability of pro-Bulldog umpiring means GWS are in for a tough time. Really hope I'm wrong though!

Want to see the Cats beat the Pies and don't mind about Brisbane and Richmond as long as either team beats Collingwood/Bulldogs should their paths cross!

The truth emerges: Brad Scott was sacked and will have his contract paid out next year if he can't get another gig. When he left they made it sound like it was almost Brad's idea and that it was a mutually beneficial parting of ways. Doesn't sound like that now: Roos poach Demon assistant, who will report to younger brother - AFL.com.au. "North Melbourne has this year forced the departures of coach Brad Scott and general manager of football Cam Joyce... As it stands, North Melbourne must pay Scott the full worth of its 2020 contract with him, about $800,000. That amount can be mitigated if Scott accepts another job in the football industry."

Even though I don't think it will happen it would make me happy to see the reigning premiers knocked out :-)
I think West Coasts form has been terrible. And Bombers could cause a huge upset

Bombers are clueless , turnover specialists.
Not remotely up for finals pressure.

They were there under false pretences.

I'm not sure this is the right thread, but I respectfully disagree; for me, Warne surpasses even Basil Zempilas levels of bloody annoying.

I quite like the players and coach - their punishment for being Pies is they have to deal with their fans and Eddie. That seems harsh enough.
Agree with that. I used to quite like Geelong, but Scott's involvement makes them unlikeable. On the other hand, I quite like Buckley.

I can't remember being more disinterested in a finals series than this one. I watched more cricket than AFL tonight on TV.

I think that the other finals matches will be far better than this one. Essendon limped into the finals and played accordingly. The others are far more evenly matched and in better form.

PS how good was it to watch the Aussies accumulate a good score with the help of missed chances from the Poms?

Looks like the cavalry has arrived for GWS, with four first 22 guys coming back in. Greene, Haynes, Williams & Deledio.
No slouches on that list. Hopefully they can put the fairypups to the sword. But ultimately I'll be going for anyone but
    a MCG tenant.

Agree with that, but the inclusion of Deledio feels like a "fairwell game" to me.
As long as GWS dont play Lauchie Keefe, they are a chance.
