I think the coach must have passed on some words of wisdom - Brisbane is harder in the clinches this quarter and spreading fast to beat Tigers at their own game.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Such a high pressure game. Fun to watch. If the Lions can get it into Cameron's hands in the final quarter, then they should kick away.

Lions need the next goal! If they stuff it up from here, they are going to rue a few missed chances. They could have had it wrapped up at 3/4 time.

Phew.....nice review.....but they still need the next goal.

Real intense effort from both teams. Attention grabbing for all of the match. Really liked the way that Lyons, Zorko and Neale, came back after quarter time, to get on top in the midfield. Ably assisted by McInerney in the ruck. Andrews and Rich were brilliant in defence, while Cameron was the best forward on the ground.

Great win by the lions ! They showed plenty tonight. Also one step closer to a cats and tigers straight sets exit. I could really use that.

I was less impressed with Mabior Chol in this game and am lowering my rating for him as a trade target. I thought he did a reasonable job in the ruck, but the rest of his game was mediocre at best. He did little when forward, but the Brisbane defence was very good.

    So far so good.

Enjoyed that. Feared the Lions were going to lose it after getting the wobbles when they had chances to seal it, but they hung in there. Plenty of talk from captain and coach about resilience when it's not going your way. Good to see that put into practice.

Also thought they look a very different, and better team with Andrews in.

And so to Saturday. Find myself hoping the Saints bring their physical presence tomorrow - within the laws of the game of course Jones in should help there.
