Blakey will come good. He needs to learn his role is now as the link between halfback and the forwards, and I think he actually had a better game than some people think. Its just tough to stand out when the side is travelling so well.

It seems like everyone else, Richmond have evolved over the last 2 years. Their brand is the turnover game with high pressure acts and 2 way running. However, over 2020 and this year they have become more reliant on the clearance game to get their goals. I wonder if it has to do with Shai thriving in the clearance work. He just puts a lot of speed in the middle. If we can negate some of this by slowing the ball down at stoppages and then try and get some overlap run going, it would go a long way. Reckon Mills will play on Dusty in the middle or maybe Warner but not sure who will man Shai, he has serious speed and evasiveness - maybe Papley goes in there when Shai is on ball, or Stephens comes in for that. The wingers will have to work overtime to run to create a defence around this run from the centre that they can generate.

Also Reckon Hickey will have to be involved in second and third acts and do a lot of clearance work himself rather than pass it on to anyone else.

RB is neither a bull or a dynamo. As i pointed to his junior record indicates he has never ever been an accumulator. Averaged 13 disposals as a bottom ager. 21 disposals in the TAC cup. 18 disposals in the u18s championships. He has no understanding of how to work into space and follow up his work to get those extra possessions. now hes in the big leagues and hes being exposed for it. He is not a liability by any stretch, hes a good decent and fair player but when you have genuine kids like Campbell Warner Gulden Mcinerney having better games in their first second third career games than Rowbottom has ever had in his 30 odd games then its clear where he sits on the totem pole in terms of talent.

Fortunately for the fans and the club, your analysis of RB is both one-eyed and not particularly informative.
