Well, what a recovery. Let's hope we can keep it moving. I thought we were better positioned for ball movement in the 2nd quarter - let's hope it keeps up.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
Melican playing well. Stephens looks to be in better form than Blakey.
This may come back to bite me on the behind...but.. they have a lot of older plodders in my opinion.
I reckon Selwood is done - unless he can get a high free kick.
If Hickey plays most of the second half I reckon we are a chance. DID NOT think I'd say that preseason.
Yeah, the lack of holding the ball decisions is doing my head in. It seems these days, if you tackle a player who's had prior and they don't a legal disposal away, then it's just as likely to be a penalty for too high, in the back, slinging in the tackle or holding on too long, as it is for holding the ball.
That being said, it was a heartening comeback. Stephens was very good in that quarter, along with Cunningham, Kennedy, Rowbottom and Mills.
Would be in front but for Kennedy's turnovers. The footy must be a hot potato for Harry Cunningham. Close in it looks too tough for him.
