What an impressive effort they played the game out right to the end never gave up and really pushed Melbourne who are a good team. Not sure but I think that’s probably the biggest test and closest result they have had this year. Some confusing decisions from the umpires didn’t help and while I never like to hold them too accountable it seems to be reminiscent of some of the performances we saw from them during the year of the Fairy puppies.

Buddy starting to look his age. I hope he just needs a couple of games to get his mojo back.

As much as I hate Stevic - he’s at least better than the work experience umpires that we were subject to tonight.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Disappointing outcome, but I don't doubt for one second that this team is absolutely headed in the right direction.
Yeah - perfect post. Sucks to lose but not that far off it. I think we won 3 of 4 quarters

Great effort by the lads tonight, they can hold their heads up high. Melbourne are a seriously well drilled team at the moment and we were right in it to the end.....but do we start calling Melbourne the "Deepups" any time soon??

We need to also learn how to play with a wet ball.

When you think where we are at in our development cycle compared to a team like Melbourne, I think we stack up well. We've beaten Brisbane, Geelong, Richmond and pushed Melbourne right to the line thus far this season. Had someone told me that before a ball was bounced in Rd 1 I would of said you were having a laugh.

May is in great form but if the Bud could just win a deserved free or two, that would be nice.

They had the fumbles before the rain hit

Yes, there was a noticeable Swans skill level drop once the rain came.
