    R18 Sydney Derby XXI - GWS V Swans @ Gold Coast 6:10pm

A strange place to have our 21st Derby. Partly cloudy and 19°C now and drops to 9°C around 7 pm with no rain forecast. Should be good for Footy. A strange time slot as well. However, with the pandemic, everything is possible. We will play wherever, whenever and whoever.

No change in our team from last win. Congratulations to Nick Blakey - Playing his 50th game!

GWS has Matt Flynn, Stephen Coniglio, Xavier O'Halloran in with Hill , Ash, Whitfield and Mumford OUT.

Umpires will be Chris Donlon (1), Jamie Broadbent (20), Jacob Mollison (32) (BTW Please note that there is a separate "umpires thread")

Although a few unexpected results this round and GWS has much stronger motivation to beat us, I am still predicting we should win by 10 ~ 20 points. Go Swans

The ground has not been a happy hunting ground for us. I hope we can break the Metricon Mischance. I am hoping we break it in a very big way. GWS are hot and CD. Let's hope they are cold today. I would like to see a percentage booster. Our blokes have to believe they belong in the top 4.they have to prove they do belong there are today is a good pka e to start.

It feels like an eternity waiting for this game.

I wonder how each team will respond to the challenges of the week, and the mounting challenges of the season.

I haven’t watched too many games at Metricon on TV lately, but it looked enormous. The skills in the earlier game (North v Bombers) were dreadful for the most part - in what looked to be pretty good conditions. It was pretty awful to watch.

Good luck to both, but I hope we play a blinder.

    Go Bloods!

They were silky compared to the skills being shown in the Carlton/Pies game!

I assume we have the 4 staff already from previously reported... so maybe just a couple of players?
