To be fair, most of the frees have been OK. We haven't had enough of the ball to win 24 free kicks. But there have been a handful of dubious inconsistencies in the way the rules have been applied. And a couple of complete bafflements.

With respect, they haven’t. They’ve been utterly inconsistent, but the ones to them haven’t all been there either.

I agree, that Warner tackle was ill-disciplined. However, the Bulldogs player had held on to the ball for longer than a few Swans players were given to dispose of the ball before the whistle. I got the impression that there was some frustration involved there.

The free kicks are incidental. More important is our difficulty finding targets in the middle of the ground, and for that matter the Dogs' difficulty finding the goals.

They are incidental up to a point it is inevitable that inconsistency will impact psychologically on players
