Pity we couldnt afford Clarkson, i think we would be a serious Premiership contender within 2 years!
We have not covered for the loss of Hewitt and that kid who went to Adelaide.....that is obvious. We miss Hewitt's grunt big time.
There’s not a great deal of difference between teams 3-16, really.
All the teams who got badly beaten last week have come back this week and won well.
If you come into a game thinking you’ve just got to show up, then you’re in trouble. We fell away so badly in Q2 (like so many times this year) and we were awful thereafter.
Jordan Dawson...doubt he would have changed the outcome.
Mentally we seem unable to produce the goods week in, week out. We seemed to be galvanising into a strong willed team but that has disappeared completely this season and just comes out every now and again. We are not finals worthy to be honest and there is a lot of work to be done in the off season, including at the trade table.
True...but they are young. And most young teams, in all sports, have to lose a bit before they can win. Adversity creates the killer instinct...hell, look at Michael Jordan with the Bulls...got smacked around for 3 or 4 years before the broke through...

At the end of this season, I really think they are 13-9. Which isn't terrible in the least... four games over .500 But I think the miss finals...
Some of the overreaction is always funny. Very, very frustrating result but not sure it's like the gallows some would suggest.
A very annoying result but just a reflection on an inconsistent team. And at the be all and end all, we kick reasonably straight and we win by 5+ goals. Probably a lot more I suspect.
Very damaging result to say the least for our season, but just one of those days where we paid the ultimate price for not kicking it between the two big sticks, where they couldn't miss when it mattered.
