Good to see Hickey back to some of his best. He’s been off for a while during to lack of continuity so that’s a big plus.

All in different ways, but Parker, Rowie and Chad very good in the middle. Heeney got going. And Rampes best game for a while

And special kudos to Hayward and Fox, both doing a lot of hard work and Wilbur in particular is in terrific form right now. Such sticky hands.
With all the focus on getting a percentage boost, and the commentators talking up North's effort (they did play pretty well in patches), I managed to get myself suckered in to not just enjoying the game for what it was- a really good win where we had a bunch of young guys doing exciting things.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Plenty of time left. In any case, what matters is our next 2 games. The Pies next week will be a doozy and our defence needs to be spot on. The lads relaxed a bit too much in the last quarter and Norf played better than their ladder position suggested but still……..

Great to bank the win and we had some exciting football. But some skill errors and a weak fourth quarter were disappointing. We had 36 scoring shots so should have won by a lot more than 38 in the end as we were 50 up at one point. We could beat Collingwood next week and only be fourth on percentage, which is how tight the top end is!

What is JMac's role? He runs around in circles, is indecisive with ball in hand, doesn't move the ball on quickly, only does short kicks, has lost his explosive run and has forgotten how to take the game on. In the last quarter I watched as he didn't run to a contest when it was needed to hold the ball in. Has become an outside, soft, slow player of sorts. I have no idea what his role is. The side had 81 tackles, he had 1. Didn't get to too many hard ball contests. Looks like a bruise free footballer right now.

Hes out of form , you dont have to hang the kid ! He will come good , the great talents always do . Wouldnt help if he knew the faithful were slagging him off . He did his knee , rd 1 do you remember that ? He is 21 for gods sake , you obviously never played with an injury before !

Happy with the win....but do our players lack ladder awareness? To be in third spot and then let them score the last three goals (and to let them score 88 pts) and put us back to fourth is extremely disappointing....but that's what we do at times.

I'm sure we'll put in a full four quarters in the finals.....as well as the next two weeks.....well, we'd effing want to!

I don't get this taking the foot off the pedal at any stage in any match.....just run out the bloody game and worry about tiredness and a bit of soreness in the following week!

Like you say, something has gone wrong with JMac. He's not the player we had last year. I don't understand what it could be, but your observations are correct. It's a worry.
