Poodles and Giants making a late bid for dreariest game of the year. On a perfect surface with no wind, both teams are playing with a complete lack of imagination.
    Booooring!!

Murphy's Law! 8 or 9 goals kicked in about 15 minutes after I posted that. Giants can put a huge dent in the Poodles finals hopes if they can finish off!

A reasonable level of composure and the Giants would of won that at the end. So many poor kicks into their forward line, then a soft as "high" tackle when it should have been gone for holding the ball. Was so hoping the Orange Men could finish off the fairypuppies, but not to be.

Meanwhile, Adelaide and North seem to be heading for a draw. It's been close all day.

So you're saying the umps got the Pups across the line yet again? What a bunch of pretenders they are.

With the way the giants were kicking it, probably not. They just bombed it in time and time again towards the end. But it was a blatant holding the ball, not a high tackle at all at a critical.

Someone will utterly flog the fairypuppies in the finals if they play like they did today - they were awful.

Weather for the Suns v Cats game is better than predicted. There's been showers for most of the day, but they've now moved offshore. Still a bit wintry though.

I thought that the umpiring was quite fair for most of the match but, yes, the final free kick to Liberatore for a high tackle was a "get out of jail free" card for the Poodles. Should've been paid against him and the ball was in the Giants attacking zone.

Just noticed Izak Rankine. He's really gone for the Akermanis look. Not sure if I entirely approve?

A few minutes to go in the first quarter and the commentators have just noticed, that Rankine is looking like Akermanis.
