Rd 4 vs Port Adelaide @ SCG - Match Thread

I just arrived at the ground so late to make the thread.

I’m a bit nervous about this one. Hopefully we can break the hoodoo. I’m expecting our class players who have been down to rise today.

    No late changes for #AFLSwansPower

    SUBS Darcy Byrne-Jones (@PAFC) & Robbie Fox (@sydneyswans)

Always nervous about a Port game. They have won the last 6. Four at home and two at the SCG. But chains of wins are there to be broken. I hope we have the mongrel in the kit bag today. Need pressure, hardness and great delivery.

....and now he's in the game! The replay I saw of Paddy's incident made me wonder how TF he hurt his head? Bummer!

Oh no Paddy does not look good at all. It was a strange incident as his head didn't seem to hit the ground that hard. I'm really worried about him.

He has been subbed out now. One positive for having Fox as the sub.

Ladhams has started well. Seems to be improving his efforts each week.

Very worried about Paddy. But is it good news that he wasn't taken to the rooms? Surely if it is a concussion they should do the test? Maybe precautionary?

I suppose with Paddy's history they are taking NO chances.....but it does mean he is now going to miss next week. Maybe they shouldn't be so kneejerk?

Ladhams has had a good start. Hopefully no brain farts tonight.

Our pressure has been good. Great smothers/spoils by Heeney and Ladhams.

We got a lucky deliberate call there. Reminds me of the McCartin one last year against Collingwood.

Yes Daisi I think that is a pretty good sign really. He wont play next week but it seems it might be more of a grazing concussion than a forceful 'knockout' type blow
