Thread: Round 5 v Richmond at the Adelaide Oval for Gather Round

  1. #121
Richmond thought it would be a good idea last year to replace their midfield with the Giants midfield.
Why are they suprised they are 15th on the ladder?. Didnt they watch any footy last 2 years?

Not a bad compliment for Chad there, has a touch of Gary Ablett ((Jnr) about with similar strong legs.

BT is truly an utter buffoon. I like the off cuff nature of the wander afterwards, but he is such a goose haha.

That kick was superb. Super difficult, right on the corner of the 50, in a key moment when we really needed it
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

I wonder what percentage of people are happy to see BT wandering towards them with a microphone? 5% perhaps? And I am counting the little kiddies who are too young to know better.

The most pleasing part of it was Campbell having the confidence to see the opportunity and execute - was a big moment in the game and he couldn't have hit it sweeter.

There is always luck in goals like that, but he has a booming kick on him and it won't be the last time he does great things like that.

They were unnecessarily niggly all night long.

Winners get the last laugh though!

I don’t get the criticism of Hayward. He had most marks on ground and most were contested in those crucial plays on the wing. Heeney’s best game of the year. And thought Lloyd’s experience was crucial tonight.

I also thought it was Campbell’s best game. The Chad was his usual self and thought Ladhams was very good tonight.

Of the young ones, Robert made one or two mistakes, but did a lot right and had a lot of good moments.
You've perfectly summed up my views. Two thumbs up emoji.

Super win! Longmire sounded very proud in the presser.
Papley and Blakey for mine were our best. Great to see Heeney look more like the player we know he is. Campbell is starting to look more comfortable at this level too, as shown by the goal in the last quarter. Ladhams improved as the game went on.
Roberts, Warner and Gould all did some nice things.

Stephens and McInerney seem to have stagnated a bit.

Great win against the odds. We certainly looked dangerous forward early with Amarty and McDonald. I really hope Amarty recovers and then finishes the year off strong and injury free as I think he's going to be a very important player going forward.

Not 100% sold on McLean but we don't have many other options at the minute. For a big fella he gets pushed around a bit too easily and out marked similar to Buddy. Hopefully he'll find a bit of form while we have our injury issues but would definitely prefer Sam Reid to him at this point.

A fit Reid, Amarty and McDonald would form a very dangerous forward line IMO and hope we see that in the back end of the year with cameos from Buddy.

Great finish to the game tonight! Well done Bloods!

Yes, a bit galling. They seem to forget that teams outside of Melbourne have injury problems, too. Our back line was decimated and we, again, lost a player early!

A huge win by our Cygnets and the scenes in the room after the game showed just how stoked the players, coaches and officials were after such a magnificent effort!

    GO YOU MIGHTY BLOODS!!
