    Champion Data Player Rankings

What do Champion Data base their rankings on? They have rated Heeney and Papley in the top tier. Yet I think even Isaac and Tom would agree their early season form has been quite underwhelming. The last game they got much more time on ball due to shrugging offf niggles and both look at peak fitness now. Thry were both very good although Tommy did not kick too many sausage rolls.

But what do they bade these rankings on? It has me totally puzzled.

Dawson only rated Above Average yet he's been fantastic for the Cows. The numbers are a mystery

They are almost as weird at times as the fantasy points on the AFL website, which are garbage.

I do think Champion Data are good at giving team insights, and some data on individual players strengths and weaknesses.

But their rankings overweight for volume, and underweight for impact - despite what they claim. So Dawson hasn't been elite for Adelaide (grrrr)? No Brody Mihocek? No Josh Dunkley? No Noah Anderson?

Yet, for example, Dustin Martin gets a look in when he's had maybe two impactful games? Lloyd and Paps and Heeney for us this year? (Though I'm pleased to see Gulden and Blakey recognised).
'Delicious' is a fun word to say
