kind of lacking that urgency and effort in contest and show some bloody urgency winning the ball

Yep Professional footballers should not miss shots like that. Inexcusable.

    We are done

Odd quarter. Looked like the Dogs were going to blow us away early, then we really should have got in front, but Hayward's miss seemed to totally change the momentum. But hey, at least we're winning the frees. Florent possibly our best.

I was worried about English before the game. He is so good around the ground.

Clearances are a big problem yet again. We are allowing them to handball, handball, handball.

We need to lower our eyes going forward. Although watching on the tv, there doesn't seem to be much space in our forward 50.

Some of our general play is good, but boy, our mids at the contest ….

Anyway thinking we need to trade for a tall defender, are kidding themselves. Inside midfielder and ruckman are high on our priority list.

I never really expected a victory tonight. I'm hopeful, but don't expect it. But I can't handle us producing the same rubbish over and over, being missing the almost unmissable set shots and getting smashed over and over in the clearances etc.

These are the things we needed to work on the most the past few weeks, and when we come out in the first quarter and it's business as usual, then I get frustrated!

If this continues for the rest of the year then we really need to look at changes inside our coaching box (and I'm not talking about Horse), as clearly the current strategies are no good.

Thursday night games tend to be lower crowds. Plus our poor form. And it's the Bulldogs. A few years back when we played them on a Thursday night, the crowd was also smaller than normal.

So whenever Heeney gets the ball in front of goal for a set shot my heart sinks. It shouldn't be that way.

I guess I'm an optimist but I think we have the personnel , it's just the skills have been so bad this year. Particularly the goal kicking - it's been ridiculous. Instead of a high draft pick, let find a really great goal kicking coach.

We are having a dip, but the poor set shots are hurting. Should be closer.

That kick from Gulden is just ridiculously good.
