Campbell for Roberts it is. The sub choice will be interesting as they won't want Fox to do it weeks in a row.

Carlton: Marchbank, Carroll, Fantasia and Williams for Cowan, Martin, Cerra and Cottrell.

So Pittonett stays, which makes Fox starting even more likely as they'll have three talls down forward.

Perhaps Wicks. No shots on goal, 2 tackles, 7 pressure acts last week.

Fox into 22 and Campbell the sub seems the most obvious to me

Like for like is what we usually do. Campbell to replace Roberts on the HBF.

I dont watch many Carlton games but on paper this seems like a weird choice. Not a quick or impact player and I thought was one of their more consistent and solid midfielders?

Hewitt was Carlton's sub in round 9. The subs for this week's match against Carlton haven't been named yet so far as I know.

SEN have mentioned a so-called "Fremantle curse" this year: all teams that have played Fremantle have lost their next match.

The Fremantle ‘curse’ that would give Carlton plenty of hope against Sydney

The Carlton ins are a bit odd - certainly not like for like as best I can tell. Two defenders and a small forward for a tall forward and two mids (not entirely certain what roles Carroll and Cowan play).

Both make sense, but I'm leaning toward Nico, partly because I think Fox is the better choice for sub.

Bit off thread, but historian Shannon Gill was on Whateley (SEN) yesterday morning & gave full history of our rivalry/hate of Carlton since when club moved to Sydney. Runs for 27 mins. Worth a listen that reignites old wounds and motivation for tonight's game.

Link to podcast and select "know your history with Shannon Gill (16/05/2024)"
