I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
Yep I saw that too, can't wait.
On The Couch is a pretty good show.
tho healy and the guest get an armchair.... not all on the couch :P
its good tho so much different to the talking footy format
Theres not much left to say
Be interesting to see what he comes up with but Roos plays things pretty close to his chest re. the media. I won't expect too much earth shattering info.l
Reminder for those with Fox

Was very good as always, some interesting anecdotes about playing days under Walls and Parkin.
But the clanger of the evening was......................................
Roos saying the Geisch rang HIM after the Doggies game to more or less apologies for missing 2 frees for Bazz.
The couch interview gave some idea of why Roosy coaches like he does. It seems he still resents the roastings he got from Parkin all those years ago, and still thinks Parkin was wrong to do so. Even gave a specific example, though it was a bit tough of him to blame his midfield (I think Johnny Blakey got the gong) for the goals that were kicked on him that day. The unsaid words were that he reacted badly to a roasting, therefore he tries not to do it as a coach.
Also stated that the performance review at mid season showed that we are doing just as well as last season EXCEPT for our conversion.
We will never know if we would have done better with Wallace, but I am happy with our OLD ROYBOY. (or am I biased?)
Pay peanuts get monkeys
That's not exactly what he said.Originally posted by Old Royboy

He said that the reasons were complex (he said there was a document and indicated with his hands that it was huge) but that the stats were the same as last year, ONE factor that was different was our conversion.
Basically, he was trying to avoid giving a reason for why we're 9th.
We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
But Leo WE LOVE YOU!
Was a very smart way of saying that the injuries to Magic, Davis and Scheinderman have hurt us this year. Would have left most other teams supporters with a reason without sounding like he was blaming injuries.Originally posted by Charlie

When you think about it we are only 2 games different than last year at the bye mark. If you keep Davis on the park in round 1 and have Schuable for Richo, we would be exactly where we were last year.

"Looking forward to a rebuilt, new, fast and exciting Swans model in 2010"
he said he expected a bake and never took it to heart didnt he???
but todays footy players are thinkers and sensitive :P made it sound like they might cry if he yelled at them lol

why does everybody continue to laud richo for his game against us? schauble woulda done bugger all on richo as IIRC there was only one contest that richo scored from that couldve been spoiled. a defender wasnt going to do anything for us that day.Originally posted by DST
Schuable for Richo
krakouer, tivendale and brown were serving it up on a platter to him, and the ball stuck and he kicked straight. midfield, midfield, midfield lost it for us that day.
C'mon Chels!
I've tried to expunge that game from my memory - but Richardson was magnificent. The Swans midfield was probably on top until midway through the third quarter but didn't capitalise on their control by delivering the ball smartly. Everything that did come Richo's way he made something of. His hands were magnificent in wet conditions and he kicked goals from a long way out and from tight angles.Originally posted by penga

I do agree that Schauble may have had little effect from a purely one-on-one perspective. However, having his leadership and experience down back might have made a huge difference, with the defence playing smarter, providing more support to whoever was playing on Richo, and not leaving such huge spaces for him to lead into.
