    The Coke Promotion

Did anyone get a good read of the sign that the elderly lady who won the (second ?) Coke prize was waving ?

I could make out the words "Demitriou" and "Up" , I think, as the cameraman tried not to get the whole sign on TV at once (this was on the big screen, not on the broadcast coverage).

...now we know the thing is rigged.

I saw the word 'shut' as well. I had a good old chuckle when she tried to hold that sign up. Good on her!

I was sitting in the next bay, the sign said:
"Andrew Demetriou Shut Up, Leave our swans alone"

She is a ripper of a supporter. Totally one eyed and absolutely scathing of every single free kick paid against the Swans.

Good ol' Edna. I remember a few years ago she made up a sign for Paul Kelly in his farewell game. As he did his lap, she got a hug and a kiss and ended up in the paper the next day (at least I'm fairly sure it was her)!

We need more of them - and I could think of other ways of combining the words "up" and "Demetriou"...
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

You could substitute "off" for "up" in oh so many ways.

Did u see the Port Supporters yesterday??? They were much worse, and they were in front by about 8 or 9 goals at that stage. Hate to see them when they are losing.
