Is that four GWS coaches we've brought into the club for 2023?
Either they were just readily available as current Sydneysiders or I'd prefer that the new regime at GWS made them gettable, so we made good offers for them to join a real AFL club :-)

I hadn't realised Buchanan most recently came from GWS too. I hope we got a volume discount.
I figure what we did get is good experience and most likely at a good price. Plus hopefully they're all already established in Sydney and so less go home factor.

Awesome to see Buchanan back at the club. Loved him as a player, and great to see him back where he should be in Red and Whtie

VFL list confirmed for 2023: Players confirmed for 2023 VFL Season
Primary List
- Jake BARTHOLOMAEUS
- Will COLLIS
- Max GEDDES
- Ethan GRACE
- Harry MORRISON
- Nic SHIPLEY
- Jake VEALE
Development List
- Hamish MORRISON
- Toby ALKER
- Christian WEBSTER
- Montague VELTHUIS
Not sure what the difference between the Primary List and Development List is. Ethan Grace played for the Giants VFL team last year after graduating from their Academy and was named in a list of possible pickups in the midseason draft last year.
The big name missing is the captain for the past 2 seasons Adam Gulden. The replacement is a 5 headed leadership group in Bartholomaeus, Collis, Morrison, Shipley, and Veale. Veale is an interesting addition, he used to play as a top up in our NEAFL sides quite a few years ago and has since then played in the SANFL with Sturt, back to the NEAFL with Sydney Uni and lately in the local Sydney comp with North Shore.
Thanks for your insight Ugg, appreciated
Great to see Amon back at the club!
He was magnificent all through 2005! And that goal!!
Still no mention on Swans website of both new coaches!!! Not even in the Swans VFL pages. Gee, our Swans digital gurus are so frustrating slow.
Hard to know whose been dropped and whose went off to pursue other things.
Adam Gulden's gone, but Paplay's pal Collis survives.
And Nick Shipley?

Loose translation from the Latin is - I am tall, so I hit out.
Montague Velthuis appears to have replaced Indhi Kirk on the Development List.
