Hmmm... so does the reverse hold true...?
At what point is the fulcrum...?

Four players to come out of that squad, by the way (only 6 on the bench).
As far as Willoughby, Schmidt, Shaw, McVeigh and Davis...I reckon that they are being deliberately held back until next week when they step in as a group for the ones who have NO chance of playing this year...that is to say that all but one or two rookie/first year players will not play next week and that those couple will be earmarked as joining the "next in line" group.
Malceski, Vogels and Moore are ahead of the lot mentioned above and are pushing for selection in round one...hence playing straight away.
That's my take on it, anyway

then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
Doyle would still be taller. He's not "Donkey" for nothing.Originally posted by timthefish

Don't worry about McVeigh!
I was surprised to see him not listed to play the Kangaroos, but he is in excellent shape.
He was first and daylight second in the 1km time trial sprints on Tuesday afternoon at training.
Schneids, Bolton and Kenelly also were looking good. (literally and in all ways)

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
That judgment may be a little premature. He is only young and may yet shoot up. And additionally, the ACTFL is a lot shorter than the AFL so relatively he can become a Doyle#2 with only a little effort.Originally posted by ScottH
