You could always wave the Australian Red Ensign.

You know, the one with white stars and red background that all the "save the flag" people don't want you to know about. Australia actually had two flags up to 1954, that covers both wars.

    Red Ensign

The history of the Red Ensign is intertwined with the history of the Australian National flag. From 1901 to 1954 the Red Ensign was in practice, used as Australia's Civil Flag, i.e. the flag to be flown by private citizens on land. The Blue Ensign was for Government use only, reflecting British practice with its ensigns.

    Question

I know John, having lived there, has a reason.

But why the hell Katie brings it every week is totally beyond me to be honest?

The thread is starting to stray now into a topic that is not relevant to RWO Chat, so please no further comments on the above two posts and their topic.

I believe the Japanese flag is Red and White. Still quite on topic.

ANZAC Day and WWII are not on topic and don't try to pretend they are.

Before this thread gets Godwined to death, I'm going to stop it.

It started off barely on-topic to begin with, and it's now drifted way off.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....
