although I wouldn't want him near my teams, you can't fault the bloke for his commitment, gave his all but just didn't have the ability.

I wonder why this thread hasn't drawn those people who complain about getting stuck into players... oh - it has, just not their ire!
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."

Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
I watch just about every player with some amazement at what they can do - and that includes LRT. But with Torture there was a sense of nervous anticipation and embarassment. So few are sad that he has gone.Originally posted by NMWBloods

But maybe we all shoulder a bit of the burden of helping kill a potential (if unlikely) football career. I don't think he could cope with the attention from Australia's biggest city. According to the club, he was doing what he was asked to do - ruck only. But when the fans and then newspapers started ridiculing him he ran away. "Torture" wouldn't be an easy nickname to live with - especially when that and his stats are being quoted from a fan site in a major newspaper. Bad enough that he was "unco" in small town Geelong but "Torture" for the whole of Sydney? I think I'd run too.
Commitment? He walked out on the club a few weeks before a finals campaign!Originally posted by adnar
