    Thanks Cow. That's very handy.
It'll be interesting to compare it to the final TLM count.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

According to the Swans website, Goodes almost won his third Brownlow last night

    http://sydneyswans.com.au/Season2007...x?newsId=51591

ADAM Goodes came within a whisker of claiming his third Brownlow Medal, but in the end it was a Cat whose whiskers found the cream, with Jimmy Bartel claiming the 2007 medal.

Nine points is a lot in the Brownlow, isn't it?

I think it's more a case of don't let the fact that he was ineligible ruin a good story.

    Absolutely.
If only he didn't hit what's-his-name and became ineligible.
If only he picked up his game a month before he did.
    If onlys.

As I posted somewhere last night, how Craig Bolton managed to obtain no votes from the StKilda game at Homebush is just astonishing, truly astounding.

It's the umpires who decide these things isn't it???

    If yes, there's your answer.

We don't have enough players on the protected list.

The one that surprised me was Jude Bolton getting the token Swans vote in the loss to Adelaide when ROK was by some margin the only Swan really worthy of any recognition. His name even came up in BOG considerations (for the C10 TV) before it went to McLeod.

It is best and fairest.... Not only best.

I'd suggest that for whatever reason, that the umpires, on occassion, may deem a player to not be the "fairest" on the day. Explaining why there are sometimes, inexplicable differences between the votes given and what the TV commentators think.
